Our Story

Maple Insight and DefaultDoc® were created to better manage default risk in the Construction Industry. We sought an objective and purely scientific method of understanding and quantifying default risk on each project.

Drawing parallels between the predictable nature of both business health and human health, Tom collaborated with a Johns Hopkins University Epidemiology PhD Candidate to study Subcontract populations. These were the first steps in creating a product that could analyze Subcontracts, predict default, and estimate losses - similar to models that study the spread of disease.

We endeavor to provide an industry-leading solution to provide better default risk intelligence to Insurers, Captives, and Construction Managers.
